Nicky McCrudden, Director of Sussex based training company McCrudden Training, has been chosen as one of the last three nominees for the Brighton and Sussex, Venus Business Awards Entrepreneur of the Year 2013.

Awarded every year and sponsored by some of the biggest names in business, the Venus Awards recognise the achievements of local business women in a number of categories.  Sponsored by the British Engineerium, the Entrepreneur of the Year award is awarded to businesswomen who have demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in their business dealings. The British Engeneerium is a steam power and engineering museum situated in Brighton, and one of the most popular local tourist exhibits in the region.

Nicky McCrudden was delighted to have made it to this stage. “The Venus Awards are a terrific institution that shines a spotlight on the great influence of female business owners to the local business environment. It’s very flattering and exciting to have made it to this stage.”  Nicky founded McCrudden Training in 2005, and has been providing a range of training courses to local and national businesses since then.

Some of the innovations that lead to McCrudden Training’s nomination include running a highly successful Meet the Buyer event, broadening their remit to include e-learning, and developing a range of training materials in conjunction with the national Campaign for Learning. Final results for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be announced on the 27th of September.
